5 (More) Fitness Myths That Are Keeping You Stuck

Myth: Skipping meals helps you lose weight.

Busted: Skipping meals slows down your metabolism and can lead to unhealthy eating habits later. Aim for balanced, regular meals throughout the day. Skipping lunch just to eat 2-3x as much at dinner is not an effective strategy

Myth: Sweating means you're burning more fat.

Busted: Sweating is your body's way of cooling down, not necessarily a sign of fat burning. You can sweat during low-intensity workouts, or maybe you didn’t sweat at all, but it’s not an effective measure of a workout.

Myth: You need to work out for at least an hour to see results.

Busted: Even short, intense workouts can be effective. Find an exercise routine you enjoy and can stick with, even if it's just 30 minutes a few times a week. Consistency is key!

Myth: Dehydration helps you lose weight.

Busted: Dehydration is dangerous and can hinder your workout performance. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water before, during, and after exercise.

Myth: There's a magic pill for weight loss.

Busted: Sustainable weight loss requires healthy lifestyle changes, not a quick fix. Fad diets and supplements are often ineffective and can be unhealthy.
