1️⃣ Visible abs is the holy grail of fitness.
Social media highlights often showcase peak results after dedicated training and potentially even photo editing. Building fitness takes time and consistency. Fitness should be about overall health and well-being, not just aesthetics. Enjoy the process and prioritize how exercise makes you feel.
2️⃣ You can specifically target fat loss.
If you've ever wondered...what exercise do I need to do to burn fat from my tummy or my arms, or my love handles.... then this one is for you. You can’t target fat loss in a specific area through exercise alone. Exercise burns calories overall, and genetics play a role in where you lose fat first.
3️⃣ The "All or Nothing" mentality
"You gotta go all in bro! Can't miss a workout! Count every calorie. Every Step. And if you slip up, you're killing your gains bro!!" Get out of here.
Missing a workout or indulging in a treat doesn’t derail your overall progress. Consistency is key, and occasional setbacks are normal. I eat pizza. I eat cake and cookies. But, I don't worry about it. I may need to adjust my eating for the day. But I don't feel bad about it. Another tip if you indulge in something that's not the best for you...enjoy it, then get back on track with your next meal. Keep moving forward.
