Sure, cardio's an awesome calorie torcher, no disputes there! The MVP status, though? That goes to your heart. Cardio is fantastic for training your.....get ready for it.....your cardiovascular system! But as a weight loss strategy, it's lacking.
Here's a ride-or-die tip: grab an activity that gets your heart racing while you're having a wild time. Could be a morning dawn-breaker walk, a sweet game of pickleball, a hearty jog, mastering the hike, acing those tennis shots, or ruling the road cycling - you name it! The world's your cardio playground.
Daily movement should be a non-negotiable. Take the stairs, park away from the entrance, take an evening walk. For many people, a short 10 minute walk after each meal can work wonders.
Cardio is great, and you should do it. Just don't think you need to spend hours on the treadmill everyday in order to hit your fat-loss goals.
